How to Get the Best Price for your Unwanted Gold Jewellery

You should not accept the first price you are quoted for your broken and unwanted gold jewellery.  We found that some dealers were paying less than half the price paid by some of their competitors.  Alarmingly we found that the companies who are advertising heavily on the TV were among those paying the lowest prices.

So, the first thing to do is your homework.  When you do this you’ll find that dealers are quoting prices between 40% and 87% of the current price of gold bullion.  So, now could be the time to sell your gold but not to some dealers.

Another way to get the best price for your unwanted gold jewellery is to hold on to it and sell it in the future.  This is because, according to our research, many gold price analysts, the price of gold is et to increase over the next few years.

WARNING:  We also found what seemed to be some companies set up recently to buy gold.  We are not stating that any of these are crooks but then again there are bound to be some crooks among them – you send them your gold and hear nothing back from them.  We urge caution.  We would only deal with reputable and well established companies – these will have proper addresses and telephone numbers and publish the price they are currently paying for unwanted gold jewellery.

I would strongly suggest checking out the Silver and Gold Exchange before selling gold or silver to ANYONE. I did a great deal of research, online and offline, and learned a lot about this business. I checked pawn shops, jewelers, “gold parties”, hotel “buying events as well as the online buyers, including the “as seen on tv” guys. I found that the Silver and Gold Exchange paid more than anyone else I could find. I liked the fact that they post the prices they pay per gram (beware of the places that quote in pennyweight/DWT) on a live price chart at http://SilverAndGoldExchange.com I also checked out their Better Business Bureau report and found they have never had a single complaint as opposed to HUNDREDS of complaints some other companies have! I can recommend them 100%
