I have tried quite a few virus software programs in the past. Some including Norton and TrendMicro. I found TrendMicro pretty easy to use. Norton seemed to slow my computer down heaps. I did not notice things slowing down with TrendMicro, however, I had a fair amount of trouble renewing my TrendMicro software online.

The best one that I have tried is McAfee. They cater for home users and small business and have moved up into looking after large companies. The software has not slowed my computer down considerably which is very important to me. I can’t stand it when my computer is chugging away.

As a home user and also my husband runs his home business from my computer I was pretty scared about what type of virus software to get. I ended up getting the Internet Security package and am very happy with it. There is a virus scan package, a full protection plan package and just a simple family style package. There is a great virus removal service now and one of my friends used it when something pretty scary happened to her computer and she did not have a clue what to do, but the package seemed to help her a lot.

The renewal was pretty easy as well.

What is important to me is not having my computer slowed down, updates are daily and do not slow my computing process down, there is live support or at least excellent support via the website, I want to be able to ring someone easily if I need to and I want an easy interface for the software because I am not computer savvy.
