This guy writes about 10 different ways to make a little bit of extra money. It’s basically everything from “monetizing your hobby” to “creating your own product”. Of course, these recomendations are always fine, but sometimes you need to think outside of the box.
Currently, most of us live in a world that could be described as tertiary. That is to say that we make money primarily on a service based economy. So, instead of trying to think up the next cheese grater, why don’t you just provide a service.
I was thinking the other day. What you if started a local service to do some errand running. Someone needs their drycleaning but doesn’t have time to pick it up, that’s where you come in. Or, someone needs to send 25 “thank you” gifts to clients. You could easily bill for your time in picking out cards or putting together gift baskets.
Who knows where this might lead? Maybe fulltime employment. Maybe you might end up with 15 new customers who love your gift baskets.
