“Human Resources Degree Online” is an excellent resource for students looking to pursue a distance learning human resources degree.
A number of for-profit and nonprofit universities, dedicated to online education, have business schools which provide a human resources degree online option. Additionally, several campus-based programs, ranked in OEDb’s top twenty online schools, offer distance learning degrees as well.
Below are some of the universities which offer a selection of Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degrees in human resources or human resource management:
- Kaplan University
- Ashford University
- DeVry University
- Walden University
- Saint Leo University
- Capella University
- University of Phoenix
- Strayer University
For a complete list of universities which offer online degrees in human resources, see the above-mentioned article.
It should be noted that most of the above universities offer online programs which have fully asynchronous course offerings. These are courses which are archived, and which students can attend whenever they choose (rather than be hamstrung by live web conferences). However, there are a few programs which offer a mix of synchronous and asynchronous courses (including University of Phoenix and Strayer University).
Of the additional universities reviewed in the above-mentioned article, one school—Western Governors University—offers a unique, competency-based degree program in which students accumulate skills rather than credit hours.
