Online Engineering Degree Program Guide

Accredited Engineering Online Degrees” is a fantastic article which details some of the most established online engineering programs available in the United States.

All of the online engineering programs reviewed in this article have been accredited by ABET, Inc., the independent organization responsible for granting a peer-reviewed accreditation to engineering programs. ABET,  Inc. – formerly known as Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology – has accredited over two-hundred engineering programs at traditional, brick-and-mortar universities. A small handful of these universities, many of which are large state institutions, offer engineering online degree programs as well.

The following public and private universities, all of which have ABET-accredited online engineering degree programs, are treated in the above-mentioned article:

  • University of Florida
  • North Carolina State University
  • Johns Hopkins University
  • University of Michigan
  • Kansas State University
  • University of North Dakota
  • University of Tennessee
  • Iowa State University
  • University of Minnesota
  • University of Wisconsin
  • University of Illinois
  • Worcester Polytechnic Institute

All of the above accredited programs offer distance learning students the ability to study with the same professors and instructors who teach at the physical campus, and engineering degrees from these schools are identical to those earned by students who study on campus.

For a complete list of the different specialized disciplines and degrees that each of the above universities offer, see the above mentioned article.
