Heard of the barter system which existed long before money did? If the concept of money had not taken over from the barter system, progress would never ever have come our way.
Business and trade would not have been possible the way it is now! Great sales systems would not have emerged!
We would still be exchanging goods and services for goods and services. Having been able to designate a value to goods and services is what gave rise to enable representation via one instrument called money.
