The Tayto Group is the largest manufacturers of snack foods in the UK. It was wasting 9,000 litre of cooking oil per week in its food manufacturing process. With an interest free loan from the carbon Trust it was able to install machinery which recycled the cooking oil which was able to be put to use in power generation. This process now saves the company £68,000 per year.
