The Pacman is all ready to rumble! Roach says Manny’s knee is 100% energized and is ready to take on Joshua Clottey which will happen at the Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas and it’s for the WBO welterweight title!
You see, there was a report that Pacquiao’s leg was slightly injured while training in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California. The Filipino boxing superstar dismissed it as a mere sore muscle in his leg.
“There was no injury”, the champ insisted, in his own native tongue.
Pacquiao showed off his footwork, showing no signs of the reported leg injury.
Convinced that Pacquiao is in the best shape of his fighting career, Roach is departing from his earlier prediction of a ninth-round knockout against Clottey.
Yes, the 12-round bout in the Pacquiao vs Clottey fight won’t still go the distance.
But instead of later rounds, the knockout may come much earlier.
“He’s (Clottey) a tough guy, but he’s not gonna last six to seven rounds. He’s going to be overwhelmed with the punches,” Roach said.
