Strathwood Hardwood Chaise Lounge
This handsome, well-made chaise is tailor-made for soaking up the sun or relaxing by the pool. A unique tray table extends to hold drinks, magazines, and other lounging essentials, then slides back underneath for storage. The back adjusts to five positions–from fully-upright to completely-reclined. Matching cushions can also be purchased to add even more comfort.
The bench’s slotted surface allows rain to flow through, rather than collect and damage the wood. The piece is made from kapur wood, a high-density Southeast Asian hardwood with excellent weather-resistant properties. Light enough to move easily around deck or lawn, kapur requires no finishing and is exceptionally-sturdy–with enough oil to repel the ravages of rain, sun, and dew. Rust-resistant hardware and mortise and tenon construction also add to the piece’s strength and durability.
The Strathwood Lounge is ideal for lounging around the pool, back deck or back yard. The back features a 5 position
adjustment for upright seating, very relaxed seating or completely flat seating. A very handy tray slides to either side or can rest below the chaise when not in use. For more comfort add a chaise lounge cushion. This sturdy chaise lounge is easily assembled with an adjustable wrench and the supplied allen wrench. The entire chaise is made of hardwood which is an all-weather wood that is dense and durable. hardwood requires no finishing and will not rot when left outdoors where rain and sun will damage other lesser quality woods. Left untreated, hardwood will weather to a soft warm shade of gray similar to the weathering of teak. Sturdy mortise and tenon construction provides the highest quality joinery that will last for many years. Original color can be maintained by applying a seasonal coat of teak oil.

“I wanted to buy a chaise lounge forever and couldn’t believe it when I saw this one for the price. When I got it I was even more pleased! I love the wood, looks great, and I love the pull out drink rack, adds to it alot! I live in Las Vegas so I am not expecting it to rain alot, but from reading older reivews I am being cautious of the fact it could bleed onto my patio, so I went to Home Depot and bought a bottle of teak oil, I hope it works. I have no complaints and I would say definately purchase this chair if you are debating. I will write another review when the chair makes it through the hot, sunny vegas summer.
