It accomplishes this by using calorie shifting so that your Basal Metabolic Rate, BMR, stays high although you are losing weight very rapidly. When you are dieting, to your body, it is interpreted as food shortage, or famine or something similar. So in order to keep you alive until more food is available, it slows down your metabolism. And when your metabolism is slowed down you fat burning slows and eventually you do not lose the weight you thought you were.
Your body is fooled into believing that all is OK and in fact keeps your metabolism high and you lose weight thereby keeping your mind at ease. Sounds quite simple doesn’t it? No. It requires effort from you if you are to see it benefits. Only that you do it in a way that works naturally and the feeback just attests to this.
