The iPod Touch (trademarked, marketed and stylized as iPod touch and sometimes colloquially called the iTouch) is a portable media player, personal digital assistant, and Wi-F mobile platform designed and marketed by Apple Inc.
The iPod Touch adds the multi-touch graphical user interface to the iPod line. It is the first iPod with wireless access to the iTunes Store, and also has access to Apple’s App Store, enabling content to be purchased and downloaded directly on the device.
The iPod Touch has a slim rectangular shape with rounded edges, with a glass touchscreen display covering most of the top surface and a physical home button off the touchscreen. The display functions similarly to the multi-touch track-pad as implemented in Apple’s current line of laptop computers. The 8 GB capacity allows for 1,750 songs, 10,000 photos or 10 hours of video. This third-generation 8 GB iPod touch includes standard Apple earphones; it does not come with earphones with microphone and is not compatible with Voice Control. However, it has up to 30 hours of music playback or 6 hours of video playback when fully charged.
The iPod touch is a great iPod, a great pocket computer and a great portable game player. Listen to a mix of songs automatically put together by the new Genius Mixes feature. Watch a movie. Surf the web. Download countless apps. View rich HTML email. Find your location and get directions with Google Maps. Discover games and apps you’re sure to love with new Genius recommendations for apps. And since iPod touch now comes with the latest 3.1 software already installed, you can start using fun, convenient features right out of the box.

I will keep this short. This is the single most useful device I have ever bought. It is NOT well suited for typing large amounts of text, BUT it can. What it does do, however, is everything else you’d want a laptop to do- as well or BETTER than a laptop can do it. This is made possible by the thousands of cheap or free apps, which is the true strength of the device. You can play music while you use most of these apps, which is really nice when you’re on eBay, reading the news, or checking your email/twitter/facebook- BUT, it still does not multitask beyond that point. The
multitasking issue, the inability to play flash content (huge pain), the mediocre battery life: are my only complaints with an otherwise amazing device.

I give 3 stars for item. When I received package I thought it had been crushed or ran over or even jumped on. Box it came in look like it had been through tackle football . Overall I am just glad it works, only problem is that is does not like apple mic and headset. The sound is amazing. I like it alot , second thoughts probably should of bought the 300 dollar version. Maybe someone just had a bad day and the took out their anger on the package or maybe it just got crushed during shipment. As I have stated before I am just glad it works.

The Apple iPod 3rd gen is a blast to use. It offers many options for the user, and is much more than just a PMP. Apple’s App Store offers countless applications with a variety of different uses. The battery life lasts about 25-30 hours while just playing music, and if you play music and do other things on it, the battery life drops drastically. I don’t suggest using the built in speaker because it is of very low quality unfortunately. Depending on what headphones you use, the music can sound fantastic or abysmal. The stock headphones that come with the unit are not very good at all IMO. Other than that though, it is a fantastic piece of hardware. Actually another problem that I have is it requires you to use iTunes. Don’t get me wrong, it definitely has it pluses, but iTunes has more negatives than anything. Hope this helps.

This is my 10 year old son’s iPod. He researched it and bought it with his Amazon gift cards that he has been hoarding for close to a year. This is his 3rd portable gaming system (Nintendo Gameboy and Sony PSP being the others) and he is quite thrilled with it. He’s been on spring break the last 3 weeks and I don’t think the thing has been out of his hands any longer than the time necessary to charge it. It kept him fully occupied on a flight from L.A. to D.C., playing games and watching movies. Very easy to sync, very durable. He’s dropped it several times with no adverse effects. Highly recommend this product.
