Clemson makes Brad Brownell next basketball coach
– Clemson has made Brad Brownell its next men’s basketball coach, the school announced Tuesday.
Brad Brownell spent the last four seasons at Wright State, and he replaces Oliver Purnell, who resigned earlier this month to take the opening at DePaul. Brownell will be introduced at a press conference at 4:00 p.m. (et).
Brad Brownell guided Wright State to at least 20 wins in each of his seasons with the program, including a 23-10 mark and NCAA Tournament appearance in 2006-07. His teams at Wright State went 84-45, including 49-21 in the Horizon League.
