When you are in business for yourself, ignoring your accounts and finances is not going to help you to get ahead.  In the post about business accounting software, Amber Jenkins explores the options available to the new business or more established business which is exploring how to manage their accounts better.

She considers both the free softwares that are available, as well as what she calls the ‘industrial stength’ options.

It is a well written article, and it certainly has made me think carefully about my next step.

I think that I will be following her advice, and looking at Sage, though from what Amber says it will take some time to learn.  But, as she indicates, that is probably going to be worth it in the long run.

I give Amber’s post a 8/10 for being informative and challenging, though I would like to have seen some details on pricing.
