Your body may just require 2400 Calories in a day. However, if you think that by just consuming less Calories, your fat will just melt away and your weight will be magically reduced you’re greatly mistaken. What will happen if you do not burn the calories that you take in at the same rate? Similarly, if you assume that you can work out hard and later eat whatever you feel like, and however much you feel like, again that will not work. Controlled calorie consumption and working out do not stand alone in order for one to achieve the goal of losing weight. There has to be a balance between your calorie consumption and your workouts.
