You’ll remember a few months ago the hype surrounding a possible matchup between Manny Pacquiao and Mayweather that never materialized due to Mayweather’s insistence of stronger pre-fight drug testing. It was speculated that both fighters would have received close to $40 million for what was being described as the possible “fight of the century”. But it seems that Mayweather’s ability to sell fights will net him close to $40 million without having to fight Pacquiao to get it.
