Frigidaire FAC106P1A Compact II is probably the best choice in its class. It’s very quite for a window AC, and can cool rooms of up to 500 square feet. Installation took only 20 minutes with two people only, and after 10 minutes it had to be turned down as it was already too cold.
Some of its great features are:

- Washable antibacterial filter that reduces room odors, and other airborne particles
- Remote control with integrated thermostat
- 8-way air direction control
- Energy Star Compliant
The best deal I could find was on Amazon; this is the best 10,000 BTUdeal you are going to get – everywhere else charges at least $50 more. And with the reputation of Amazon, their customer service and quick delivery the chioce was pretty obvious.
