Laurie says: knee, back surgery and doing insanity
To preface I have had bilateral knee microfracture surgery and lumbar discectomy and have gotten through one month of insanity and LOVE IT!! I, like others read the reviews and warnings not to use this program if you have knee and/or back issues. While there is not modified exercises for the difficult and joint straining moves, I just have always listened to Shaun T. chant “form over speed”. That being said, I don’t go beyond my limits. For jumping moves, I don’t jump as forcefully as I once used to prior to my surgeries, I have just tried to listen to my body and push when I can and then develop my own modifications. I have completed the first month, lost 8 pounds, 3 inches off my waist/bust and develped some quad muscles that I haven’t seen in a long time.

I wanted to write for those who have had knee and/or back surgery and say it is possible to do this program with caution and lots of stretching. As everyone writes, its not for everyone, but a lot of the postings almost discouraged me from purchasing this. I am so happy with it and look forward to working out each day:)

I have been doing this workout for the past week and a half. It’s not easy but its not impossible. I am firming up already and my clothes are fitting better. Can’t wait to see the result after 60 days. But like I said it is challenging and you just have to keep going and focus on getting better and doing more every day. More endurance daily and at the end of the 60 days my fitness level should be much better and my body will be looking HOT!!!!

Jackie and Cad Say: Insanity workout is INSANE!!!

All together a well rounded, well thoughtout program. You’ve got to be committed and form is KEY. The fit tests every other week really let you know how your progress is going and keep you motivated to push it that much harder to improve the next time around. Favorite one is Cardio Resistance. The nutritional guide is excellent! I’m a huge nutritional nut and after going through the detailed guide I know its the real deal. TONS of options with realistic, afforded and obtainable foods.

The only con that I can think of is that it is hard to commit to a full 60 days straight while balancing my day to day life, but that I think its understandable. Due to some personal injury and physical restriction I cannot do some of the exercises but just push it that much harder for the next one.

Seeing great results! Never been more confident in my body! Thank you Insanity!
