I decided to buy LG 32LD450 32-Inch because when I am still looking for the right HDTV I landed on this product and it has good reviews so I decided to buy one.

Removing the TV from the box in my living room and I turned on the lights to check for blemishes or any defects. While the TV was in good condition, I saw that both the screen and the glossy black bezel had hand and finger prints in many locations. I am not sure if this happened at the factory or if I got a unit that had been unboxed before but still it was a little unsettling, even at this price point. It took me a few minutes to wet a cloth and clean the TV before setting it up.

After I finished setting up the tv, I immediately turned it on. I am not impressed after I turned it on. Like most new TV’s, this one is pre-programmed to default to wild backlight / brightness / color settings. After spending quite some time tuning the picture, I was able to attain the settings that were to my liking.
