“Blu Ray” 2010-06-10
By Calvin Trippett (COARSEGOLD, CA, US)
Just watched my first movie on a blu ray disc on this new player. Blu ray is great this player rocks. I watched it on a Panasonic Viera 58 inch plasma with a pioneer surround sound system and I may never go to the theater again. No reason to this is just as good and the popcorn is a lot cheaper.

“Panasonic Blu-Ray” 2010-06-10
By Felicia A. Stanley (Rome GA USA)
I purchased this blu-ray for my Mom & Dad 50th wedding anniversary gift. I purchased it so they could use Netflix. My husband and I set it up for them it was very easy. They love the netflix feature. I would recommend for any one that wants a blu-ray for streamming video and does not have a X-Box 360 or Playstation 3. Rome, GA.

“This player is pretty great!!!! (Using AT&T U-Verse)” 2010-06-10
By M. Howell (Houston, TX)
After reading a lot of the reviews here, I had my doubts about buying this player. I was looking for my first blu ray player, and needed something that would do netflix streaming in order to justify the purchase. In short, the price was right and I decided to take a chance.

The result was excellent. I have AT&T U-verse internet with an ethernet wireless adapter in the room where I set up the player, and let me say that the Netflix, Pandora, and You Tube streaming are all excellent (I am very curious to see what the Fox Sports and other streaming services look like when they become available – I haven’t yet tried the amazon streaming, but this player is capable of that as well). The stream is smooth and high quality – not quite blu ray quality streaming, but slightly better than a regular DVD).

For blu ray discs, boot time is excellent. There is a quick boot feature, which I declined to use because is uses more electricity, but boot time still only took a few seconds. Menus are easy to navigate and fairly straight forward.

Blu ray disc playback is gorgeous and looks just as you would expect. Crisp, clear picture that instantly made me happy with the purchase. If you are looking for an excellent blu ray player with netflix connectivity, this is probably a good choice.

“Great BD player” 2010-06-09
By Douglas N. Griffin (Austin, TX)
I just received this player last evening. I am replacing a Sony BDP-S300. From the time I got the box open to putting in the first disc was less than 5 minutes. The picture and sound quality are years ahead of the old Sony. Start time is only a few seconds compared to minutes with the S300. Also smaller and lighter. I use a Panasonic 42″ plasma and a Sony 7.1 receiver. I am amazed at the brilliant colors even on regular DVDs. The price I paid for the Sony was about 3 times the price of the DMP BD 65P-K. I highly recommend this player
