Why anyone would want to spend a fortune on these pieces of furniture is a mystery to me. They are so old fashioned, and that includes all the funky modern interpretations that the manufacturers and designers keep coming out with. The fact is that these canopy beds served a practical purpose back in the day but now they are redundant, furthermore while they make a novel change, if you find one in your hotel room while on vacation, they really are, in my opinion over the top in a private home.
