Homebuyer Tax Credit Extension – House Passes Federal Tax Credit

The House of Representatives has passed the Homebuyer Tax Credit Extension which will give thousands of homebuyers the time they need to close and still get the tax credit. Right now the deadline to close is June 30 in order to get the $8,000 tax credit if you are a first time home buyer.

Now housebuyers get until September 30 to close in order to be eligible for the Homebuyer Tax Credit Extension for new home buyers. You can get more information on the extension here. The senate has not passed this yet however.
