At the beginning of this month the governor of Missouri, Jay Nixon, signed a new bill into legislation that will affect how people convicted of a DWI, or driving while intoxicated, will be punished, especially if they are repeat offenders. While, House Bill 1695 will allow certain offenders alcohol treatment programs instead of jail time, repeat offenders will likely see longer sentences, and those with especially high levels of intoxication or drunkenness, will also be treated more severely than those barely over the legal .08 blood alcohol levels. Long story short, the need for a DWI attorney in Missouri seems to be getting more pressing.
