When purchasing computer ink cartridges you might feel that your wallet is a bit too light when you leave. It is a fact we have learned to deal with, or at least feel there is no way around. There are of course ways to save money on them, but eventually, at some point, you will probably have to shell out the dough. For this reason, when you’re shopping at the big wholesale department stores and you see that big pack of printer cartridges just the right size for your computer, you may want to consider how to store them.
No one wants their hard earned money to go down the drain because they bought something and it went bad before you got to use it. So make sure when you are storing your ink cartridges that you have the package in an upright position. Usually each cartridge comes in a separate sealed bag, but if they don’t make sure that you separate your cartridges so that they don’t leak onto the other.
It probably goes without saying that, like most things, you want to keep the temperature correct. If you get the cartridge too hot or too cold, you might damage the ink quality or the cartridge itself. Obviously, the attic or the garage will not be appropriate for these high cost goodies. As for me, I like to have mine right at the desk I have my printer on. That way, if and when I need it, I don’t have to hunt.
When the time comes to use that cartridge, always follow the instructions. They aren’t usually hard to install, but if you do it wrong, you could make a huge mess or lose the cartridges usefulness. Little things like making sure the tape comes off of the print head can be easy mistakes that are made when you don’t thing to follow the directions. Of course, you also need make sure not to treat your cartridge too roughly. Shaking or banging it around may cause it to leak, and no one wants that!
Computer ink cartridges are expensive. There is no doubt about it. Getting the correct cartridges in bulk can sometimes lower the cost. However, if those cartridges don’t work when you get ready to use them it can cause headaches and frustration. It only takes a little care on your part can make sure won’t have this problem.
