Country crooner Carrie Underwood is officially off the market, following her weekend wedding to Ottawa Senators hockey player Mike Fisher. PEOPLE reports that the ‘American Idol’ winner wed Fisher at the Ritz Carlton in Greensboro, Georgia, on July 10.
Fisher and Underwood, who began dating in 2008, tied the knot in front of 250 family members and guests, including Garth Brooks, Faith Hill and ‘Idol’ judges Paula Abdul, Randy Jackson and Simon Cowell.
Carrie Underwood has barely been engaged for three weeks but she’s already making plans for her big day, turning to a bunch of bridal magazines for inspiration.
“I started tearing out pictures and stuff,” she told reporters at the People’s Choice Awards yesterday. “I got a folder and put pictures in and stuff. It’s like in a binder thingy and I really don’t know yet.

We got the scoop on what Carrie Underwood envisions wearing when she marries fiance Mike Fisher. Underwood told InStyle.com exclusively: “I want it to be pretty traditional. I think I want flowers on it—not real flowers! It’ll probably be by someone I’ve worked with before,” she told us. Whatever gown she chooses, her wedding style is off to a great start thanks to Fisher’s good taste in engagement rings. “My ring is by Jonathon Arndt. I love him to death. Mike knew that by all the little boxes in my room!”
