It’s results show time! What did you do America? Well, we’re about to find out. The first group of 12 acts performed on Tuesday night. The top 3 acts, based on America’s vote, will advance to the semifinals. The judges will then select either the 4th or 5th place act for the 4th spot in the semifinals.
America’s Got Talent Quarter Final 1 Results : Votes are only 75% important on America’s Got Talent. The judges (two of whom are British) still get to choose the last spot. Guess they either can’t justify their salaries for doing nothing or else they don’t trust Americans to make good decisions.

The first group of acts to learn the results of the voting were the hand whistler Sally Cohn, Airpocalypse and Nathanial Kenyon. America voted and thank goodness some sanity has prevailed on this show for the first time all season. Nathanial Kenyon made it through and the hand whistler and air guitar group did NOT.
The next group of acts up were Kung Fu Heroes, Fighting Gravity and Nick Pike. Again, sanity prevailed and Fighting Gravity made it through! Nick Pike and Kung Fu heroes did NOT.
The next group of three acts were the sister singers Christina and Ali; the painter Maricar; and the Hot Shot Tap Dancers. America voted and the singing sisters with cystic fibrosis made it through. Christina and Ali.
The last group of acts to come up for results were the RNG dance group, Future Funk and Paul Safy, Jr. However the rules suddenly changed. All of a sudden we learned that votes eliminated Paul Safy Jr., and then the judges got to choose between Future Funk and RNG.
So, the 4 acts who advance are: Nathaniel Kenyon (Singer), Fighting Gravity (Performance Artists), Christina & Ali (Singers) and Future Funk (Dancers).
