The Taj Mahal has stood for years as a symbol of deep love. Built entirely of white marble, is situated on the banks of river Yamuna. The Taj Mahal was built in 1631 by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal, who died while giving birth to her 14th child. It took 22 years and thousands of workers to complete this marvel. The tombs of Shah Jahan and Mumtaz are in the basement while a replica was built in the same upstairs.
