The Sisters Kelvingrove, the second restaurant opened by two talented Glasgow sisters, could hardly look more different than the original. Quaint and cosy has been changed to sleek and minimal, but with a dash of Scottish art here and there.
The top quality Scottish cuisine and top service remain the same, however. Being very hungry when visiting The Sisters Kelvingrove makes a lot of sense. Expect tempting choices for their ever changing menus. You might have to decide between chicken stuffed with haggis or seared scallops. Or between Highland beef and seam bream. Tough times, indeed!
One of the best things about a visit to The Sisters Kelvingrove is the basket of various home baked breads that arrives on your table, almost before you’ve taken a seat..;-)
Leaving room for a pudding remains a good idea. Hearty and possibly addictive, clootie dumpling awaits. As does a local fave, puff candy meringue with honeycomb ice cream and hot butterscotch sauce. Yumm…
Going from strength to strength, these sisters deserve to be local heroines.
