Intimate dining in a tiny, gorgeous restaurant serving top Scottish cuisine never came any better than Two Fat Ladies West End.
With seats for only 26 lucky diners, booking in advance makes sense – you don’t want to miss out. First opened in 1991, Two Fat Ladies West End somehow manages to hide from view, even though it sits on a bustling stretch of Dumbarton Road, close to the junction with Byres Road.
So successful and popular since then, these talented people have three other younger siblings treating diners elsewhere in the city.
The kitchen is partly open to view, so you can watch the chef preparing your mouth watering meal. This might include langoustines, seared scallops with black pudding, halibut with brie and spinach tart, and baked hake with puy lentil dahl.
As you’d expect, the focus is on Scottish fish – check out the unique and very groovy metal work over the window – but veggie diners and anyone after quality Aberdeen steak or plump chicken will find something lovely to choose. Two Fat Ladies West End adds skill and a touch of their very own flair to every meal they create.
