Hosta August Moon is a medium sized hosta with variable leaf color. It starts out a medium green and as summer wanes it changes to a harvest gold. This is a very popular and beautiful hosta that has highly textured leaves. Although its parentage is unknown it is probably a Hosta Sieboldiana hybrid.
Although Hosta August Moon is a popular Hosta it has not won any major awards or other popularity contests. This is a medium sized Hosta that will fit into almost any garden setting. This is a fast growing Hosta sieboldiana variety that will quickly reach a mature size.
Once Hosta August Moon has reached its mature size it is ready to be divided to increase the number of these plants that are in the garden. If one is good then 2 would be even better. Dividing Hosta plants is a simple process that is a simple dig, split, replant, and water routine.
