Outdoor Patio Sean Conway Tiverton 2007 Gazebo Reviews
A gazebo is a pavilion structure, sometimes octagonal, in parks, gardens, and spacious public areas. Gazebos are freestanding or attached to a garden wall, roofed, and open on all sides; they provide shade, shelter, ornamental features in a landscape, and a place to rest. Some gazebos in public parks are large enough to serve as bandstands or rain shelters.
Gazebos include pagodas, pavilions, kiosks, belvederes, follies, alambras, pergolas, and rotundas. Such structures are popular in warm and sunny climates. They are in the literature of China, Persia, and many other classical civilizations, going back to several millennia. Here is a good review from www.amazon.com.
We’ve been waiting for a strong and sturdy gazebo and this one fits the bill. It assembles very easily with one person but it will take 3 people to get the top on. Two holding the top and one person setting the four legs in place. It’s held up great in the wind. Ours is on the lawn area so for added protection we bought some dog teathers (you screw them into the ground) and we zip-tied the legs to them on opposite legs. It also has a big hook that will hold a big light fixture in the center top. The legs are hollow to allow an extention cord or misting hoses through with ease. At the bottom of the legs there are areas to punch out to feed the cords/ misting hoses through. Great idea. It’s a great investment for us because we use our back yard more now that we have a nice “room” to sit in. Find more reviews here.
