Looks good, sounds good, easy to setup!
Bought the Samsung HW-C450 soundbar to go along with my 52″ Samsung LCD. What a big improvement over the TV speakers! Watched 2 Blu-ray movies with it already and was very impressed by the sound. It was very easy to hookup. Just used the provided optical cable to connect the sound bar to the TV. Plugged in the subwoofer, plugged in the soundbar, turned on…. and the sub was instantly connected to the soundbar. It was up and running literally in minutes. The volume of the soundbar can be controlled by the TV remote so that’s nice. You may or may not want to turn off the TV speakers. The problem with turning off your TV speakers is it will say “not available” on your TV when you adjust the volume with the TV remote, but that is a minor problem.

Pretty good sound bar over existing TV speakers
We purchased this sound bar to make up for the lack of good sound coming from our PN58B860 Samsung Plasma. The speakers in the TV sound tiny and are not really good at all. We took a chance buying the Samsung sound bar to enhance the TV sound while not always running our home theater setup. Overall the quality from the sound bar is good. The sound is MUCH better than the TV speakers. Our remote controls the volume on the sound bar which is a bonus. The sound bar also comes on automatically. Things I don’t like are: 1. If you try turning up the volume and the signal gets picked up by the TV, it will say Not Available in a big caution box on the TV, blocking most of the picture for about 5 seconds. That is annoying and should really be fixed in the next firmware upgrade when external speakers are used. 2. The sound bar will turn off automatically when you turn off the TV but there is a huge delay, like 20 mins. I don’t understand that. It also takes about 5 seconds longer to power on when the TV comes on. Other than that, to us it was worth the cost to get better sound but honestly TV makers should focus more on that with the TV since we so much money on our plasma. Hope this helps.
