The Art Of Covert Hypnosis
Covert hypnosis, hidden hypnosis, or as it is sometimes alternatively known, conversational hypnosis, sometimes used to connect the subconscious mind of someone else. So as to change the behaviour, or the thoughts of other people.
This is different from the type of stage hypnosis, that one sees in a theatre, or on television, with the subject is totally aware that they are about to be hypnotised.
The Art of Covert Hypnosis, on the other hand, is often used without the target subject either being aware of, or having given his/her consent to be hypnotised. This can result in the result being either positive or negative from the subject’s point of view.
Hypnosis, of course, is derived from the Greek word “Hypnos” — the Greek god of sleep.
In traditional hypnosis, the hypnotist first relaxes the subject’s mind, offen by the use of soothing words and even gestures.
Covert hypnosis, is often found on a day-to-day basis, on our television, or theatre screens. It is used far more than most people are even aware.
