MLS all star game 2010 tickets were sold out in a brief time as it has just released. As you know, a lazy pass opened the highway for Manchester United on Wednesday night, giving most in the sellout crowd what they wanted only 24 seconds into the 2010 AT&T All-Star Game as Reliant Stadium erupted when Federico Macheda gave the Red Devils a quick lead. Having already enjoyed the experience once, Javier Morales knows just what he’s going to do when he takes the field for the Major League Soccer All-Star Game tonight in Houston against Manchester United of the English Premier League.
The coin flip – which actually took place before the MLS All-Star game, but was broadcasted on tape-delay at halftime of the game televised by ESPN2, was made to determine whether Portland or Vancouver would have first pick in the 2011 SuperDraft, expansion draft or other player acquisition opportunities. The Whitecaps’ choice will likely come down to either the first pick of the SuperDraft or the expansion draft. For example, if Vancouver chooses to secure the first selection in the SuperDraft, Portland will likely take the first pick in the expansion draft. The coin was flipped and the MLS logo came up.

Ever since then, MLS All-Star games have always afforded me to the wonderful opportunity every summer to indulge in that feeling; the feeling of being 11 again. And it’s more than just the idea of gathering up the best of the best to face foreign competition. The 2006 games brought a powerhouse. The following year, it was Celtic, and we were granted another exciting match. It was the mullet. Even in 2008, when the less impressive West Ham showed up, the goal fest that ensued was pure entertainment, and the crowd at BMO Field was obviously pleased.
It is impossible to overlook Omar Gonzalez on the soccer field. He’s the guy on the back line towering above the rest. At 6-5, the Los Angeles center back is the tallest field player in Major League Soccer – one inch shorter than Toronto backup goalkeeper Jon Conway – and when he’s matched up against pint-sized attackers like FC Dallas’ 5-5 David Ferreira, Gonzalez can be literally head and shoulders above the competition. Gonzalez, a Dallas native, has risen above the crowd in other ways as well, and at 21, he is still very much on the way up. However, with MLS all star game 2010 tickets the people can see how Gonzalez, in his second season in the league, will make his first MLS All-Star Game appearance, facing mighty Manchester United in Houston. Gonzalez’s first season ended with him being named MLS rookie of the year.
