EOS Digital SLR Camera Review
We have all seen the Canon Ads. If anyone can, Canon can. When I decided to upgrade my Digital SLR Camera, there was only one choice a Canon. All my professional photographer friends swear, by them. I was also tempted to get a Nixon. I did my research and also took the recommendations of friends. Canon was the way to go.
Canon have a number of cameras. Within their EOS Digital SLR Camera range, there are 10 Cameras in total. When I started my journey for a DSLR. There were many choices that I had to make. The number one being price. I see myself as a semi professional photographer and have recently decided to take the leap of faith and buy a more sophisticated Camera.
Below are the 10 Cameras within the Canon range, which I had to research before I purchase my DSLR.
- Canon EOS-1Ds Mark III Digital SLR Camera
- Canon EOS-1D Mark IV Digital SLR Camera
- Canon EOS-1D Mark III Digital SLR Camera
- Canon EOS 5D Mark II Digital SLR Camera
- Canon EOS 7D Digital SLR Camera
- Canon EOS 50D Digital SLR Camera
- Canon EOS Rebel T2i EF-S 18-55mm IS Digital SLR Camera
- Canon EOS Rebel T1i EF-S 18-55mm IS Digital SLR Camera
- Canon EOS Rebel XSi EF-S 18-55IS Digital SLR Camera
- Canon EOS Rebel XS 18-55IS Digital SLR Camera
After a looking through and analysing the above 10 Cameras, I decided to go ahead and purchase the one of Canon more newer additions to the range. The Canon Rebel T2i. I chose this Camera for the five main reasons:
- Price: It was much less that the other camera at only $899 and was within my $1000 budget
- Video: The video is pretty darn good, although it is not quite as good as a dedicated video camera. But it truly is an advantage to have both still and video in the same camera.
- Resolution: This was the icing on the cake. 18MP of pure picture quality
- Exposure Compensation: The Canon Rebel T2i sports a +/-5.0 full stops
- Zone Metering: The T2i has a new 63 point evaluative system.
While on my journey to find the perfect camera for my requirements, one particular website helped in narrowing down my decision.
I highly recommend that you check out this website which reviews the Canon EOS Digital SLR Camera range and has helped me make an awesome decision.
