The Bonjour Celeste Glass Teapot Set is said to be inspired by the elegance of Paris.
The appearance of the glass tea pot and matching creamer and sugar pot are on the ornate side. The hand blown body of the tea pot is reminiscent of a lavish glass chandelier of an era gone by. Interestingly enough, the handle and spout are free of any whimsy and appear solid and plain against the contrast of the elaborate body and lid of the tea pot. The juxtaposition works well and will appeal to someone who enjoys the old school elegance with some of the feel of the new, given that the pot is glass rather than ceramic or china.
Standing alone, the tea pot has an element of grandeur and splendor. Use it in an ordinary kitchen as a showpiece that doubles up to make a smashing cup of tea for the connoisseur. Use it in an already stately home, to maintain the regal feel. While you can obviously use it for bagged tea, it is designed for the loose variety. It seems a waste to use it for anything else.
