More than 30,000 people are expected to come to Union Reservoir in Longmont, Colorado on Saturday, July 31, 2010 for Heaven Fest 2010, an annual Christian music festival billed as an event “that Jesus would actually like to come to”.
Seventy bands and artists from different types of genres will perform on 7 stages with 7 interactive areas. The bill this year appeals equally to the K-Love faithful (Sanctus Real, Casting Crowns) and the Way-FM devotees (Hawk Nelson, Thousand Foot Krutch), as well as the Tooth and Nail-bred hardcore contingent (Maylene & the Sons of Disaster, The Devil Wears Prada). Heaven Fest executive producer Luke Bodley even somehow managed to convince the Christian rock fossils in Petra to reunite for the fest.
