This is what the Northwest Glass Yama Sitka Glass Teapot is for.

There are no fancy frills or decorative indulgences to be found on this workhorse of hot beverage. The handle is strong and sturdy, easy to get a good grip on and unlikely to get very hot. The spout is of course designed to be non drip. Nothing less would do.

Don’t get me wrong, just because it works well doesn’t mean it isn’t easy on the eyes. If this glass teapot were a young woman, it would be the girl next door. A little plain perhaps but pretty none the less. It would be a modern young woman for that matter, equally comfortable in the work environment as at home.
