Plot : The Sorcerer’s Apprentice is an upcoming family adventure film directed by Jon Turteltaub. The movie is about a sorcerer named Balthazar Blake and his apprentice called Dave Stutler who tries to battle against the forces of darkness in modern Manhattan. Balthazar Blake (played by Nicolas Cage), who is a master sorcerer, ropes in Dave Stutler (Jay Baruchel) to cope up with the evil forces. Blake gives Dave Stutler trainings in the art and science of magic. The movie focuses on Dave as he uses his trainings and hidden potentials to save the city of Manhattan. Apart from Nicolas Cage and Jay Baruchel, the movie also stars Alfred Molina, Monica Bellucci, Teresa Palmer, and Toby Kebbell. The adventurous movie is scheduled to hit the theaters on July 16, 2010. The Sorcerer’s Apprentice is actually based on Mickey Mouse Sorcerer’s Apprentice segment from Disney’s Fantasia. Apparently, the movie is also produced under the banner of Walt Disney Pictures. This new epic romantic comedy is bound to win the appreciation of the audience when it will be released this July.
