Worm composting is a way to recycle food waste into a soil conditioner. The benefit of worm composting is this: it can be done both indoors and outdoors. This allows you a year round of composting. Even if you live in an apartment, it provides a means of composting. Basically, worm composting is made in a container filled with worms (typically redworms) and moistened bedding. By adding your food waste to the container, over time, the worms and micro-organisms will eventually convert the entire contents into rich compost. The resulting compost is a good soil conditioner for house plants, gardens and patio containers.
