Hello guys! My name is Nathan and this is a review of the Yamaha NP30 Portable Grand Piano. The idea of making this review came to mind because before I bought the product I read a lot of reviews and didn’t get the feeling that they are genuine enough and the reason for it is was the fact that they said many contradicting things about the product. So I decided to write my own review based on my personal experience with that portable piano. I hope you’ll find it helpful.

The first question I asked myself before buying it was: “what exactly am I looking for?” this may strike you as a very simple question but that doesn’t mean that the answer is also simple. What I’m want to say is that there is a huge variety of portable pianos on the market in different price ranges.

isn’t very expensive so everything that is being said about it should be taken in proportion to its price.

Features
So now let’s cut to the chase, the first important fact is the piano has built-in speakers so you can use it anywhere, it’s not very big and it just lies on my table which is actually was an important attribute for me (the size). The sound is great, it has 10 different voices and I felt that they are well done. Generally as an amateur pianist I really enjoy using it. The controls are really simple and easy to figure out. In its description the company mentions: “another great feature for the home recording artist is that it performs as a MIDI controller too” Personally I never used it but I’ve been told by others which did use it that it’s a very handy feature.

The Bottom Line

Personally I have to admit that I’m very satisfied by the purchase I made, it’s not expensive and delivers exactly what I was looking for. I read many other reviews on this piano after I got it and some people complained about the quality and the fact there is only 10 voices but as said at the beginning relative to its price this piano gives great result!
