Solar panels at the Pocono Raceway

NASCAR’s Pocono Raceway in Pennsylvania has an exciting new feature!  Solar panels installed on a former parking lot generate enough electricity to power the racetrack, as well as feed in additional clean power to the grid.  In fact, the solar installation is so large, its visible from outer space!

The solar racetrack is the first of its kind, but sure to spur additional sports facilities to convert to solar energy.
