Eureka 71B Hand-Held Vacuum

Low Price Eureka 71B Hand-Held Vacuum

Amazon.com Review

Remove deeply embedded dirt from anywhere in your home or car. Ideal for cleaning stairs and auto upholstery, this hand vacuum cleans with the help of a revolving brushroll with Riser Visor, a stretch hose and attachments for getting into tight spaces. The onboard crevice tool gets into those places too small for the brushroll.
Hand-held but very powerful, this Eureka model eliminates the hassle of lugging around a full-size vacuum for cleaning car upholstery, sofas, and carpeted stairs. A long 20-foot cord (which wraps for storage) provides good reach, as does the deluxe hose that stretches to three times its length. With the crevice tool on the end of the hose, this vacuum reaches into all kinds of tight places. And, with two motors, one to power the revolving brush and one for suction, the 5.5 amp vacuum cleans deeply.

One of Eureka’s innovations is the Riser Visor, a clear plastic cover that stays down for cleaning horizontal surfaces and flips up so the revolving brush can reach the vertical carpet on stair risers. There’s no bag to change, just a filter and clear plastic dust cup to shake out when necessary. –Ann Bieri

I purchased this product to vacume my stairs. It is easy to use and is as advertised, the only negative I have is it could be a little lighter. I have very small hands and by the time I am done my hands are cramped and my arms are getting tired.

First off let me say that I didn’t NEED this item. I have a perfectly fine Dyson that works wonderfully. But having three shedding Boxers and a microfiber couch and a bed that they sleep on–I got tired of lugging the vacuum cleaner to do daily vacuuming of pet hair. I started looking at hand held vacuums for those quick jobs.

After seeing this vacuums high reviews, I decided I would give it a try. Let me say I was surprised how much hair and dust this little vacuum got off my couch and bedspread. I had just used the hose attachment on my Dyson the day before.

The only down side is it gets a little hot where the exhaust blows out from the back, but nothing to bad. I only notice because if I am vacuuming a weird angle on the couch, I use two hands and my supporting hand will get the exhaust blow off. Still I am very pleased with this product and no longer dread cleaning my couches.

I love this vacuum. It really sucks. In a good way. Ha! I have a cat and it makes miracles with my covers and rugs. You don’t have to replace the filter, I just wash it once in a while and it goes on like new. The cord is really long so there is no problem to get to other rooms and keep moving around the house. It’s not too heavy, either. I was scared by some other reviews saying this vacuum was really heavy. I’m not very strong and I can hold it easily. The only problem I have with this vacuum is that I wish it had a longer extension to clean under my bed.

Why didn’t I buy this earlier to clean under furniture and clean my stairs? It’s fabulous. It’s cute, easy to empty, holds plenty, has three speeds, one with brush, it sucks powerfully, isn’t too loud. Perfect for doing stairs. Cord is plenty long enough to plug in at foot of stairs and go all the way up. Unless cordless doesn’t lose power or need charging. Words cannot describe how much I love this thing.
