Psoriatic arthritis symptoms treatment has just been received by Phil Mickelson. He revealed Tuesday that he had been battling a potentially debilitating condition known as psoriatic arthritis since the Sunday before the United States Open in June. He has been getting the painful effects under control within the past two weeks with weekly injections of a drug prescribed by doctors at the Mayo Clinic. Mickelson said he first experienced pain near his ankle that made it difficult to walk, and his left index finger and right wrist felt as if they were sprained. He treated those ailments with ibuprofen, but he grew concerned when the condition began to worsen and spread to his hips, ankle, elbows and shoulders.
Psoriatic arthritis, which causes Phil’s immune system to attack his joints and tendons and produced such intense pain he couldn’t walk. He noticed the first symptoms five days before the U.S. Open, and the pain eventually got so bad he made a visit to the Mayo Clinic. U.S. golfer Phil Mickelson stunned reporters Tuesday by revealing he is receiving treatments for a severe form of arthritis. the world’s No. 2-ranked golfer said he has psoriatic arthritis, a condition that affects the joints, particularly the fingers and toes, Gannett Wisconsin Media reported.

Mickelson said he hasn’t been able to work out for the last seven weeks because of the condition and it has prompted him to become a vegetarian, Gannett reported.”I know this is crazy, I know. No, this wasn’t recommended by a doctor, I read a book and just thought maybe it will help.
