Check out the Toyota Corolla Recall here. Toyota is recallling 1.3 million 2005-2008 Toyota Corolla and Toyota Corolla Matrix. These cars have the 1ZZ-FE engine and the two wheel drive. This recall does not involve any other Toyota models or the Lexus vehicles.

The reason for the Toyota Corolla Recall is due to the ECMs or the Electronic Control Modules. These were not properly manufactured. The ECM circuit board may get excessive voltage.

The Toyota Corolla Cars that have this problem may have their Check Engine light come on. You may also get harsh shifting. Toyota will replace the ECM in the Toyota Corollas being recalled. Get more information on the Toyota Recall here.
