I’ve written this review so that you can make a more informed decision based on your requirements and budget.

I hope you find my review useful and you are welcome to give your feedback or your own personal experience with Schwinn-431 which I can add to this review.

An Overview About Elliptical Trainers

An elliptical trainer (also sometimes called a cross-trainer) is a stationary exercise machine used to simulate walking or running without causing excessive pressure to the joints, hence decreasing the risk of impact injuries.

Elliptical trainers offer a non-impact cardiovascular workout that can vary from light to high intensity based on the resistance preference set by the user.

Although different types of elliptical trainers offer an assortment of features, many of them include an array of challenging programs, forward and reverse directional movement, EKG grip pulse handles, a lightweight portable design with easy fold-up capability, and a monitor displaying calories burned, distance, speed, time, and heart rate.

Various types of workout machines, like treadmills and bikes,no-doubt offers efficient cardiovascular exercise and muscular workouts for the legs in a forward-motion exercise. Elleptical trainers definitely takes this to a higher level by offering an upper and lower body workout with dual motion, with a much more challenging and diverse programs, and a low-impact exercise machine that won’t strain sensitive joints.

A Few Satisfied Customer Reviews :

** Mike M. from California says – “After much research, I bought this one …… Well I’ve had this machine for about two weeks now and it works great. I am completely satisfied with this purchase. I was a little concerned about shipping, but mine came in perfect condition. Like others, it took me little under 3 hours to put it together. If you can put a screw in and follow directions, you’ll be able to put this together. The machine is so smooth and quiet. It’s no problem for others in the room to watch TV at the same time. After a week, I started to notice a clicking sound and it turned out I had tightened the screw that connects the handle bar to the foot pedal bar too tight. Loosening it a little fixed the problem.

** Carrie Hess “geo_carrie” from Livonia, MI says – “I bought this machine to workout at home because I tend to keep strange hours and the idea of going to the gym is not appealing to me. The package was delivered by ABF Freight in perfect condition (as in no damage, the box itself was extremely filthy) but I opened it and put it together with no issues. I really like the way this machine looks and feels. I had an elliptical machine about 7 years ago that I had bought from Sears that wasn’t near the quality of this machine.”

** A.Benenson says – “My criteria for selecting an elliptical was simple – it had to go in my basement, where the ceiling’s pretty low. At the sporting goods store, I noticed that this model had its footrests closest to the floor, so that’s why I picked it (they’re maybe 6″ above the floor at their lowest – about the same as our treadmill). I’m very happy with this elliptical – the motion is quiet, smooth and steady, and the machine has a nice sturdy feeling. I have only two *very* minor complaints – the fan is kind of wimpy, and the little holder for a TV remote is a bit shallow (I’m always afraid that the remote will fall out, though it hasn’t yet).”
