Introduction
In the UK it’s been more than 50 years since we started going down the road to giving children rights, but it went too far the wrong way. Stopping the local Policeman from giving the children a thick ear and/or a kick in the backside, it kept them out of court and an institution.
Developments
Now because we have gone too far the wrong way it’s a struggle to go back to doing the right thing and not getting all the do gooders and human rights tribe complaining. But if any of them can see any other way that will work, I am sure the Government, the Courts and the Police would like to know.
Also teachers need to be big enough in mental and physical strength to stand up to 6 foot plus teenagers and give them the belt on the hands and the Kane across the backside. One only has to look at the animal kingdom to see how respect works there and realise that we need to follow their example.
Other examples of how this has gone to far lies with known criminals being granted legal aid to take a case against the Police for assault while resisting arrest and in some cases being armoured and more than capable of doing serious injury to the Police.
Immigrants also need the same treatment and not be left to feel it’s only them that need to be kept on the straight and narrow and out of jail. That’s why our jails are bursting at the seams and there is also a percentage of mental patients there, because the government closed the Homes and Hospitals that used to take care of them. Care in the community has clearly failed and to me it’s the last of the madness over the last 50 years.
Conclusion
Communities need respect and the correct form of Law and Order to teach respect and keep everybody in line and give a peace of mind to all who live in it. Like our anthem “God Save our Queen”. The meaning of these words needs to be the same for everyone in the “Big Society” being communities in any country around the world.
“What Ifs”
Governments and politicians make correcting the Law to much of a trade-off?
The people need to make politicians change the Law in the right way?
For communities and people to live with respect and the correct rights the Law needs to change?
We might even need a movement in each main political party to bring about the change?
