Farmville is a popular game available on face book. Basically the game is about having a virtual farm where one can do almost the same chorus as in a real farm. Example ploughing, seeding, harvesting animals & trees, crops etc. Initially the farm size is 12 X 12 plots. The market tab on the lower right corner sells stuff which you can buy with coins or Farmville cash(FV).

Important to know and remember here is to exercise restraint in spending FV’s as you get only one FV on passing a level. There are various items in market such as seeds, trees,animals, buildings, decorations,upgrade in farm ,vehicles etc. But initially it is better to start with by ploughing and seeding the crops. The important tips while doing so are:

• Check the harvest time. This time decides when your crops are ready. You need to come back to the farm after that time and harvest. All the crops are weltered mostly after double the harvest time.Example:If the harvest time is 4 hours,then maximum time before it welters is 8 hours.
• Check the cost of the crops and for how much it sells i.e; how many coins a crop gives after deducting the cost of the crop.
• XP gained from the crop. One should keep in mind that needs to be calculated not only on the crop seeded single time. But rather one needs to calculate the XP gained in day. Example if you seed strawberries,which has a harvest time 4 hours and gives 1 XP. Actually earns 5 XP even if seed 5 crops in a day, compared to eggplant which gives 1 XP in a day. Hence depending on the convenience one can plant accordingly.

Important to remember that XP’s help us to move up in levels,which in turn helps us in earning FV’s.

Tips:

• To do things quickly around the farm its very useful to lock the avatar/the person in the hay bales. The method to do so very simple.Once you are logged into your farm, mark the plot on which the avatar is.(generally its the center of the farm) Buy 5 hay bales arrange them surrounding the avatar.
• Add as many neighbours as possible to your farm. Because in order to upgrade the farm and buying certain building /items its very useful to add neighbours.
• Always try to earn as many ribbons as possible. Some ribbons are very easy to get, one needs to just learn what the ribbon is about? Example the not spoiled gifted ribbon is about the no of unique gifts in your gift box. And some other ribbons need some time which you can earn in due course.
• Buy few trees and animals. Harvesting them not only gives coins on a regular basis but they also give collectibles from time to time. Finishing a collectable gives XP’s and fuel.
• Buying a chicken coop helps to get mystery eggs which have mystery gifts.
• Buying a dairy farm help to get calf and extra bags of fertilizer.
• One can earn extra coins and XP by helping the neighbours in the farm and fertilizing the plots.
