Glasgay 2010 Music – Review

Music has always been an important part of Glasgay, and is just as much fun during the 2010 festival. Between 14 October and 13 November, make sure to take in some of the wonderful performers taking to the stage in Glasgow.

One of the biggest events of the whole 2010 festival is The Big Loud & Proud Ceilidh in St Andrews In The Square on 12 November. Get your tartan glad rags on and jig to those stirring tunes. Glasgay favourites, The Belles Star Band, provide the music on the night…

…and there’s more. Scotland’s only LGBT choir, Loud & Proud, will also perform on the night. Two great acts for the price of one sounds like an offer far too good to miss.

Breaking new ground, The Irrepressibles visit The Arches on 11 November. A 10-piece performance orchestra, these guys have already gone down very well all over Europe, and London too. Bringing Glasgow the sounds of their debut album Mirror Mirror Spectacle, a cool night under the arches is in store.
