Glasgay 2010 seems to go from strength to strength. Maybe its the quality of the musical theatre it attracts to Glasgow that has something to do with it… and the 2010 festival is no exception.
Between 14 October and 13 November 2010, two high profile musicals and one not to be missed evening of cabaret with a few twists are sure to be Glasgay highlights.
Richard O’Brien’s classic camp (and sexy) comedy The Rocky Horror Show comes to King’s Theatre. Featuring men in suspenders, a manufactured hunk and lots of pelvic thrusting for Brad, Janet and the team, the charm of this musical never fades. Can hardly wait…;-)
A tribute to the wildly popular TV show Glee, the musical Don’t Stop Believin’ promises to be a high school extravaganza. Also taking to the stage at King’s Theatre, have your hairbrushes at the ready, for a sing along sensation featuring some of the best pop songs from today and years past… with the chance of added glitter, for good measure!
Taking over CCA for one night on 23 October, Gram Cumming proudly presents Glasgay 2010 with Head Over Heels. A riotous journey involving some personal experiences that include marrying a lesbian in Gretna, and trying to solve the problem of your gender, this show predicts a riot. In a good way…
Always great fun, musical theatre adds extra energy to an already buzzing annual festival. Have a fab time at Glasgay 2010.
