In my opinion, there are the top five must see countries for holidays.
1 – Egypt. King Tut, The Pyramids, The Valley of the Kings. The list is endless. But it just is not the history and culture. They are people too. The Egyptians are some of the most sweetest and generous in the world. They welcome you into their homes a second, and, even if they did almost nothing, they will share with you.
One afternoon on the Nile with an Egyptian felucca captain sail boat at sunset on the Nile at Luxor is a once in a lifetime experience not to be missed.
2 – China. People don’t think immediately to China when planning a vacation packages … but they should, especially after Olympic games in Beijing.. Even if you could not afford 7 to 10 days, a route that takes in Beijing, Xian, a Yangtze River Cruise and Shanghai will be an excellent introduction.
And for an unforgettable experience, advanced to visit Guilin. Guilin landscape is amazing and unique. It may not necessarily be called mountains as such, but the peaks that rise, rise almost vertically upwards into the mist.
If you get a chance to take a lift to one of the peaks and just watch in awe at the sight, and seeing if you’re adventurous, take a cart down a toboggan style (about 3,000 feet long !)
3 – Jordan. It ideally located if you plan it right, you can visit Egypt and Jordan as well as make a real trip to remember. Amman is a city full of the atmosphere. Petra is wonderful, but surely the site not to be missed being the Dead Sea. The ocean in the world with so much salt in it, makes you float!
This fact alone Jordan, a country must see and most of what I said before, do not forget the Wadi Rum, Aqaba, Jerash and the Route of Kings. A week in Jordan is good, but 10 days is preferable.
4 – Hong Kong. Although much remains to Hong Kong than just shopping, if you like shopping, then Hong Kong is the place for you. A walk along Nathan Road and a visit to the Temple Street market has just done. And make sure you have your hat negotiation as bargaining is as much experience as purchases themselves.
There are several lots in Hong Kong too. The big advantage is that, despite being a modern city. It is traditional in every corner. Do not forget to take a trip to Victoria Peak and enjoy the view and remember that, even if it’s foggy, there are two guys at the top that will take your picture and translate an image of what you should see if the time when it is not so poor! I also suggest a couple of half-day visiting Lama and Lantau islands. A great way to escape the bustle of the madness that is Hong Kong.
5 – Thailand. Thailand is suffering a bit of his reputation as a destination very hedonistic, and it is true that one side is wild Thaialnd (especially certain areas of Bangkok, Phucket, etc.) there is also an amazing culture to immerse yourself in.
Really all is there, adventure, culture and even the not faint hearts, a place about one hour north of Thailand family holidays where you can go, so go with real tigers alive. No cages, no chains, just you and around a dozen tigers. For me, it was a thrill of a lifetime, and it is without doubt one of many reasons that Thailand is in my top five places you must visit in the world.
